Walnut, banana and berry smoothie with chia seeds

A quick and easy breakfast that can be whipped in minutes and keeps you full for hours!

My husband loves his breakfast smoothie more than his evening scotch πŸ˜„ I keep trying different combinations and variations to throw in smoothies and he happily plays a guinea pig to all my experiments.

The one I’m sharing here is not such freak experiment but a classic banana and oats smoothie. I throw in some walnuts, soaked chia seeds and berries ( protein powder optional)

Since milk is a big hit with my husband and kids alike, I use medium fat milk as base medium. You can substitute it with low fat, no fat or even change to yogurt if you wish to. If you’re a vegan, use almond milk instead.

I soaked chia seeds in water, but you can use milk, almond milk or even pureed berries to soak chia seeds for extra flavour.

For best results freeze all the fruits before using.
