XYZ Cocktail | A simple gin cocktail with a simpler name

It might sound amusing but that’s a real name and that’s a real cocktail! And it’s as simple and easy as its name.

It basically needs three ingredients; rum, orange liqueur and lime juice. Type of rum completely depends on your choice and preference. I’ve used white rum in this recipe as it suits the palate for me and I prefer light rum over aged ones for cocktails.

Orange liqueur I used is triple sec though you can use cointreau also. Finally some freshly squeezed lime juice.

RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS :

  • Light Rum: 40 cl
  • Triple sec: 20 cl
  • Lime juice: 20cl
  • Ice
  • Lime peel to garnish

METHOD:

  • Chill a martini glass.
  • In a shaker, add all the ingredients and give it a good shake.
  • Strain the drink in chilled glass and serve with lime wedge or lime peel.
