Butter Garlic Salmon: A perfect (and super easy) fix for a fancy date night

One of the most fancy (and healthy) dishes at any restaurant is grilled/ pan seared Salmon. It is also one the most expensive at times. I love grilled/ pan seared chicken or fish and like to try new flavors for it. I’ve tried lots of different sauces with it and will share them here soon. This particular one here the simplest, quickest and tastiest of them all, so I decided to put this one first.

I also made this recipe for the main course for one of the 3-course date night dinner on Valentine’s and my husband loved it. It’s super easy and quick to make. Here’s the recipe for you all:

INGREDIENTS:

Salmon Fillet: 1 fillet (approx 100gms)

Butter: 2-3 Tbsp ( or more! Feel free!!)

Lemon juice: 2-3 tsp

Garlic: 4 cloves chopped

Chilli: 3-4 chopped (or more as desired)

Salt and pepper: as per taste

Parsley: handful, cleaned and chopped

METHOD:

Start by searing the salmon: Heat the pan, add some butter. Put salmon skin down and add salt & pepper. cook till skin is golden brown and crispy. Flip it and cook from other side till done well. Remove from pan it looks like as shown in pic:

Now, for the garlic, lemon sauce: Add rest of the butter and heat. Add chopped garlic and chilli and cook. Now add lemon juice, salt and pepper and at some water if needed. you can also add some more butter to add to the taste.

1.Your dish is almost ready. There can be 2 ways of serving it:You can serve the fish in plate and pour the sauce over it. This will keep the skin crispy and sauce separate.

2. you can put the salmon back in the pan and let it soak in juice for some time. this will make fish more juicy but the skin will not be as crisp as option 1.

Serve it with grilled vegetables/ spinach or mashed potatoes and you’re ready to impress your date!
